GARY BENFOLD’s thirty-six page booklet is a substantial tool with which to evangelize the lost. Using the apostle Paul’s experience and preaching in Athens, the writer seeks to establish the truth that there is a God, One who is near, and One who can be known. He presents God as the creator and sustainer of all things, One who hates sin and who will judge sin in all of us. Arguing that man is more than a mere extension of the animal kingdom, the writer shows that we can only really ‘find our chief joys in knowing and serving him [God]’. What God wants, continues BENFOLD, is ‘a change of mind that also changes our behaviour’.
While some may not like the author’s use of the NIV throughout, this is, nevertheless, a well produced and carefully argued presentation of the gospel.
