Practical Principles of Gathering

Merrill J. Oster

The book is a novel presentation of important truth. As stated in the introduction, "The contents of this book were presented as a series of five minute messages to instruct young believers in the principles on which Christians meet together" in the author's home assembly. There are eighteen chapters, covering every aspect of the life and service of a local assembly. Young believers will be particularly helped, the book showing how scriptural principles are put into practice. Warnings too are issued, in particular in the chapter dealing with the function of spiritual gifts. Well worth reading, showing how edification can be concentrated into five-minute talks.
