What does the practice of historic Christianity look like in the twenty-first century? Does our personal morality or treatment of others matter, provided we believe the right things? Can the faith be conveniently reshaped to suit the latest secular thinking? In an age when truth is challenged, how can we know that our Christian faith is authentic?
The latest book from the pen of Norman Mellish. The Epistles of John bring together the theme of love. As John bids his readers to ‘love the brethren’, 3. 14, he demonstrates that love in his dealings with ‘the elect lady and her children’, 2 John 1, and Gaius, 3 John 1.
This Epistle was not written to any particular church or to any particular individual. It is an Epistle that is spoken of as being catholic in its character because it is written for the whole family of God. The subject of the Epistle is eternal life and the evidences of it, such as love, obedience, boldness and having no fear.

This book reveals the glory and power of God in creation, the flood, and in earthquakes. The writer examines the days of creation in Genesis chapter 1 from both a Biblical and a scientific perspective, and concludes that the acceptance of literal 24-hour days in the creation account not only harmonizes with the rest of scripture, but also with science.
Comparing Mark’s records with that of other Gospel writers, and considering those events unique to this Gospel, this book seeks to open up the earthly life and ministry of the Saviour.
This booklet was first published as a series of articles in Precious Seed magazine over the years 1965-66. They are now published in this form that they might stimulate a new generation to study this important area of typical truth.
It is quite apparent that this letter has a very definite bearing upon the Christian life, particularly to those people of the Jewish nation to whom it is written. That James has these believers in mind is clear from the opening verse.
As the apostle to the circumcision, Peter had a concern for his brethren. These converts were passing through trials, and, in the First Epistle, he seeks to encourage them. In the second he teaches us the conditions that will emerge in the last days.
The truth of the kingdom is the central theme of the whole Bible. This book is firmly based in a literal interpretation of the text and a firm belief in the dispensational view of scripture, and of prophecy in particular.
The Treasury of Bible Doctrine has been in constant demand since it was first published in 1977. In recognition of this continuing need for biblically faithful teaching, the original volume has been fully revised and expanded.
Matthew chapters 24 and 25 form one of seven major discourses in Matthew’s Gospel. These include: the moral and ethical principles of the kingdom which are covered in chapters 5 to 7, otherwise known as the sermon on the mount; the parables of the kingdom, in chapter 13; and the prophecies of the kingdom, covered in the Olivet discourse. These three also have particular reference to prophetic matters involving the kingdom. The Olivet discourse itself gives a chronological outline of predicted events in relation to the nation of Israel as the fulfilment of Daniel’s seventieth ‘week’, 9. 27.
These Epistles get their name because they are written to individuals rather than to a company of the Lord’s people. In apostolic times, there were those who were given a commission by Paul to be a help to different companies of God’s children and for a particular reason. These Epistles written by Paul to Timothy and Titus were to such. These were men who were called to the ministry by the Spirit of God and moved with Paul in his service for God. They were men Paul could trust and were able to maintain the saints in the pathway of faith.
Sam Jardine was born into a Christian home in the city of Belfast in 1904. He trusted the Lord Jesus as a young man while lying on a hospital bed. The lives of his godly parents, Pastor Alex and Mrs. Jardine, left deep and lasting impressions.

This is the sixth book in the Albert Leckie series. The sermon on the mount is so called because Matthew says of the Lord, ‘he went up into a mountain’, 5. 1. Whilst this may be its geographical setting, its spiritual setting is the kingdom in anticipation. It will, in a very real way, be the heart cry of the faithful, godly Jew during the coming tribulation.
