The Christmas story retold in rhyme by Stuart Scammell and illustrated by Feyi Medland.
The account of the Christmas Story covers many wonderful and amazing events. It was prophesied over seven hundred years before by a number of different prophets. All these prophecies came true in the birth of Jesus Christ, God's Son.
It is amazing how the ambition of a Caesar, the birth place of a carpenter and the interest in observing the stars by the wise men all combine to bring us these momentous events.
Christians believe that the greatest part of all these events is that God's love is demonstrated in the sending of His perfect Son to be our Saviour. Although He was born and placed in a manger, He came to die on a cross for our sins.
The account has been put into rhyme to help us enjoy the narrative. Reading it with your child is a wonderful thing to do and it will be a memory they will never forget. Reading it will teach your child to value God's word, the Bible, and create a habit so that they might read it for themselves as they grow older. There is no greater book, no greater message from a great God.
