There is a necessity for there to be four Gospels, for no man can fully grasp the wonder of the Lord's person. These writers were chosen and inspired by the Spirit of God to unfold the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.
In Matthew's Gospel, the Lord Jesus is portrayed as the king. Then, there is the servant in Mark's Gospel.
From these two Gospels and their presentations of Christ, we can learn much of the Saviour, His character and kingdom, as well as in His service for God. There is much that will touch as well as challenge our hearts.
