A Selection of letters

Over the years the Lord’s people have often seen fit to encourage and thank the committee for the production of the magazine. Needless to say but this has been a stimulant to us to keep serving the saints through its pages. Here we share just a few of the many we have received and thank all the believers who have been so faithful in their support for us in the magazine’s long history.

EBENEZER GOSPEL HALL, HEMSWORTH

The magazine continues to be very well received and recently there have been some particularly good articles that have highlighted issues that we perhaps can take a little too lightly. For instance the article in the February 2003 issue entitled ‘Safe from Harm’ was especially interesting and quite thought provoking. It certainly stopped me in my tracks when I read through all the responsibilities we are taking on when organizing or partaking in any children’s or young people’s work. We certainly cannot be complacent and have legal responsibilities to abide by, responsibilities, which I think most of us are not fully aware of. Anyhow it provoked much comment and discussion, so please continue to include such articles as these as and when they are made available to you. They are most important. Again I can say with the utmost assurance that the Precious Seed magazine is enjoyed and appreciated universally amongst the believers at Hemsworth and we hope and pray it will continue to be so indefinitely or ‘until He come’.

RUTLAND GOSPEL HALL HOVE

On behalf of the assembly here at Hove I thank you for sending these magazines which we all enjoy reading On a personal note I especially found the articles on our laws here in the UK which we need to comply with in the assembly, of great help. Thank you for adding the practical as well as the spiritual.

BALLYSILLAN GOSPEL HALL, BELFAST, N.I.

We think the presentation is excellent and also the content is good. This is a magazine that you would be excited about giving to another believer, knowing it is well balanced, and attractive in presentation, along with the learning material. May the Lord bless your work for Him, and the many contributors who obviously work hard preparing the articles.

BISHOPS TAWTON GOSPEL HALL, DEVON

The magazine is superb and much enjoyed by our members – pleasantly set out too! We look forward to it!

SKIBBEREEN ASSEMBLY, IRELAND

We do appreciate the magazine and find the ministry very profitable.

YORK STREET HALL, PETERHEAD, SCOTLAND

Please be assured that our young folks in the Bible Class to whom in the main it is distributed appreciate the magazine and its contents. We realize that much labour is involved in continuing such a work and so we would pray that all concerned will be strengthened by the Lord, for His glory and the blessing of His people.

DONEGALL ROAD GOSPEL HALL, BELFAST, N.I.

We appreciate the ministry given in it. In particular I have felt that the recent issues have dealt with a number of important topics and have been both helpful and challenging. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry.

ENNISKILLEN ASSEMBLY, N.I.

We are always pleased to receive this useful magazine, and it is our prayer that the Lord will continue to bless your ministry, and that a coming day will reveal the fruit which the teaching of the word has borne in the lives of His own, to His glory. The new format has greatly improved the magazine’s appeal, and the contents are stimulating and relevant – probably the best magazine on offer to the saints today! Well done!

WALLACE AVENUE GOSPEL HALL, LISBURN, N.I.

This is an excellent publication much appreciated by those who read it.

ELLESMERE PORT, CHESHIRE

We are most impressed by the new format and the breadth of articles in the magazine; they are a great spiritual blessing to the believers.

JOHN BAKER – COLOMBIA

We do appreciate the articles in this magazine and feel that, if they were taken heed to, there would be a resulting blessing from the hand of the Lord. How we need to get back to the ‘old paths and preaching’.
