Chairman’s Notes

As another year draws rapidly to its close, for many 2019 has brought significant change. The political, economic and social landscape of the United Kingdom has altered quite dramatically. With the considerable upheaval and uncertainty that affects some of us, it is good to know that we have an unchanging God, One who could say, ‘I am the Lord, I change not’, Mal. 3. 6.

However, although we serve an unchanging God, there are times when the membership of the Precious Seed Trust has to change. Thus, after sixteen years in the work, Ian Rees has resigned from the committee. I know that this has not been an easy decision. Ian has contributed numerous articles to the Day by Day books, the Magazine and YPS, edited YPS for a time, and overseen the production of two popular and useful children’s books.

The continuing concerns about his health, the purchase of the new building in which the assembly can meet, and the continuing work of shepherding that assembly in Tenby has meant it is time to re-focus. We will miss his contributions to meetings, but hope that he will be able to continue writing for us. We wish him, and the work to which the Lord has called him, God’s richest blessing.
