Homecall of A. G. Bowerman

On Friday, 16th September Mr. A. G. Bowerman, of Taunton, was called into the Lord’s presence at the age of 76. He was converted in early life through a rebuke administered by a Roman Catholic woman, which set him thinking seriously on eternal things. He became an earnest servant of Christ, well known and respected as a business man, and a staunch supporter of the assembly meeting at The Octagon, Taunton, where he rendered valuable service as an overseer for many years.
Always firm on the principles for which PRECIOUS SEED stands, he associated himself with the magazine from the very commencement, and we owe him a debt of gratitude for all the help and encouragement he gave us during the early years of its existence. Of late years failing health restricted his activities drastically but his interests in the Lord’s work did not wane.
We are sure our readers’ prayerful sympathy will go out to the sorrowing widow and the two sons, who are following in their father’s footsteps.
Coming so soon upon the sudden home-call of our brother Mr. A. C. Hinton, this additional loss emphasizes the need of looking to the Lord to raise up men of like calibre to carry on their work.
