Bishops, Priests and Deacons. By William Hoste, b.a. Pp. 184. 15s. John Ritchie Ltd., Kilmarnock.

This book is a ‘must’ for all the Lord’s people who love the spiritual order for service that God has instituted in the local assembly. Service in the assembly, whether God-ward or saint-ward, occupies a prominent part of the time of all in fellowship; how important then to understand the principles behind the saints’ calling to such work and how the Lord maintains them in it. This book deals exhaustively with all aspects of the subject, and the reader should find himself strangely drawn to it until all is read, digested and appreciated in practice. J. H.
